The Algarve Classic Festival returns to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve for a weekend filled with pure motorsport passion. Taking place from 24 to 26 October, with tickets already available, the event is one of the most anticipated on the national sporting calendar for historic motorsport enthusiasts. It promises three days of intense action with twelve races celebrating the legacy of legendary cars and competitions.

The programme, which combines demonstrations, practice sessions, qualifying, and races, offers an authentic journey through several decades of motorsport, with all disciplines of speed—Touring Cars, GTs, single-seaters, and prototypes—fully represented.

The headline race will be the “300 km Algarve Sportscars” an absolute first for Portugal. Lasting either 120 minutes or 300 kilometres, this race includes mandatory pit stops for refuelling and driver changes, and is open to prototypes built between 1963 and 1972, as well as GT cars manufactured between 1966 and 1980. Taking place late on Saturday afternoon, the race will finish with cars running their headlights, evoking the great endurance events of the past.

The programme of the revitalised Portimão classic festival also features some of the most exciting classic series today, including the Iberian Historic Endurance, the benchmark competition for Touring and GT cars up to 1976, which will feature two grids and four races at this event; the Carrera 80, the Iberian competition for GTs and Touring cars up to 1993; Group 1 Portugal, dedicated to classics built to Pre‑1981 Group 1 specifications; the Single Seater Series, the only single-seater competition in Portugal; and the prestigious GT & Sports Car Cup, a British-origin competition reserved for Pre‑1966 GTs and Pre‑1963 prototypes that once competed in the World Endurance Championship.

Beyond the pure competition, the event is a celebration of automotive culture. The “Classic Car Parade,” aimed at classic car clubs on Saturday, and the classic motorcycle parades on Sunday will offer unique opportunities to get up close to these wheeled treasures in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. This is complemented by a Formula V demonstration on Friday.

Over a weekend where spectators will enjoy a fantastic journey through time, full of nostalgia and with a distinctive sound, tickets are already available via MEO Blueticket and at the circuit box office, with several options: the “Main Grandstand” ticket provides access only to the designated stand; the “Paddock” ticket allows access to both the Paddock and the Main Grandstand; and the “VIP Tower” ticket permits movement between the VIP Tower, the Paddock, and the Main Grandstand.

Entry is free for children and young people aged three to sixteen, and tickets can be purchased via the following link: https://aia.bymeoblueticket.pt/Evento?IdEvento=15467
