Iberian Historic Endurance: Keeping the Bar High and Presenting New Challenges for 2025

After an exceptional 2024 season for the Iberian Historic Endurance, the most prestigious classic car competition in Southern Europe, the 2025 season promises to be even more thrilling, with new and exciting circuits where adrenaline and a passion for motorsport will be present at every corner.

The season that has just concluded set record-breaking figures, with an average of over 40 participants, showcasing the growing enthusiasm in the Iberian Peninsula for competing with Touring and GT cars built up to 1976, cars that are part of the collective imagination of true motorsport enthusiasts. The strict adherence to the regulations of international historic competitions (Appendix K) and the philosophy of the "3 Cs" - No Crashing, No Cheating, No Complaining - continue to be a hallmark for drivers from all over the world.

Maintaining one of the key features that makes the Historic Endurance a standout competition on the European stage, Race Ready has once again ensured its presence at the most iconic events and some of the most spectacular circuits in this part of the world.

The focus on prestigious events translates into a return to the 3 Hours of Spa, the longest race of the season that kicks off the calendar, as well as the Jarama Classic, Spain's largest classic car festival, the revitalised Algarve Classic Festival, and the Estoril Classics, the biggest classic car event in Portugal. To conclude the season, the Autódromo do Estoril will host the 250 km of Estoril, a "classic" now in its 13th edition as part of the Estoril Endurance Festival.

However, the 2025 calendar brings two major new additions, both in Spain. After a five-year absence, the Historic Endurance returns to the Circuito de la Comunidad Valenciana Ricardo Tormo, a track that offers everything needed, both on and off the circuit, to provide drivers and teams with an unforgettable experience at one of the most modern facilities in Southern Europe.

The other new addition is the debut of the Circuito de Velocidad de Monteblanco on the calendar. Located in the province of Huelva, just a few kilometres from Seville, the circuit has recently been homologated and features a 960-metre straight, 18 corners, and a 4.458-kilometre layout.

For Diogo Ferrão, CEO of Race Ready: "Our mission is to continue offering unique experiences, maintaining the four pillars that distinguish us and have earned the trust and enthusiasm of our participants. The selection of circuits is always based on excellence, ensuring the highest quality and excitement, which justifies the inclusion of Valencia and Monteblanco in our calendar. We want to keep race weekends with plenty of track time and ideal conditions, so that drivers can make the most of every moment. We will also continue to focus on vehicles that fully respect the FIA’s Appendix K, ensuring that all cars meet the requirements and traditions of historic motorsport, including authentic liveries that evoke the best memories. Finally, our passionate and experienced team will always be by the participants' side to make each event truly unforgettable."

Before the start of the racing season, the weekend of March 22nd and 23rd will host a new edition of the Exclusive Test Day at the Autódromo do Estoril. This event offers drivers and teams the chance to test their cars in preparation for the season, which begins the following month.
