The Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto, located on the outskirts of Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia, is one of the most iconic circuits in Spanish motorsport and motorcycling. Opened in 1985, it gained international recognition by hosting Formula 1 World Championship races and further cemented its reputation as a regular venue for MotoGP, becoming a fixture on the international racing calendar. In tribute to legendary Spanish rider Ángel Nieto, a 13-time world champion, the circuit incorporated his name in 2018. Measuring 4,423 metres in length and featuring 13 corners, the circuit offers a varied layout of slow, medium-speed and fast corners. These characteristics, combined with the region’s generally favourable weather conditions, make Jerez a leading destination for motorsport in the Iberian Peninsula.
