Following the success of the SevenFriday Classic Cup last year, the Estoril Summer Party programme now welcomes the Briston Classic Cup — a race dedicated to vehicles homologated or produced between 1950 and 1999.

On 12 and 13 July, the Autódromo do Estoril will host a special race in partnership with Briston Watches, a watchmaker that blends the elegance of French design with innovation and technical quality.

Like its predecessor, the Briston Classic Cup is open to all cars homologated or manufactured between 1950 and 1999. Featuring a 60-minute race, the competition stands out thanks to a set of specific rules designed to ensure fair conditions for all participants, taking into account various technical and sporting factors.

To guarantee competitive balance, a handicap system will be applied during the mandatory pit stop. This system, based on the age and homologation of the vehicles, can introduce up to 330 seconds of difference at this strategic point in the race.

Teams including a rookie driver (competing in circuit racing for the first time) will benefit from a further 70-second reduction in their handicap — an ideal opportunity for those looking to make their racing debut.

Participants are free to run slick tyres, but those choosing road-homologated tyres will gain a 55-second advantageduring the pit stop.

Additionally, a compensation system based on the age, type, and engine capacity of each vehicle will be applied, favouring older and lower-capacity models.

As a tribute to the competitive spirit and distinctive style of the event, Briston Watches will reward the top three teams overall in Sunday’s 60-minute race with an exclusive Briston Streamliner Gentleman Driver — a timepiece that is more than just a practical instrument: it’s a true expression of personality and refined taste.

For Diogo Ferrão (CEO of Race Ready), this will be a special event:“After a hugely successful race last year, featuring fantastic cars, four new drivers making their circuit racing debuts, and a large turnout of spectators, we decided to bring it back for 2025. We are grateful to Importempo, who — pleased with last year’s results — has decided to support a new watch brand to award the grand prize to the winner.”

The Estoril Summer Party will take place at the Autódromo do Estoril on 12 and 13 July, and the Briston Classic Cup race will be streamed live via Race Ready’s social media channels.
