Iberian Racing Festival drives a new chapter in motorsport on the Iberian Peninsula

Race Ready will introduce a new racing programme concept this season: the Iberian Racing Festival, which will take place at three of its prestigious events across the Iberian Peninsula, making stops in Portimão, Valencia, and Jerez. This new format promises to further enhance the quality and variety of race weekends, delivering an unforgettable experience for all motorsport enthusiasts, whether participants or spectators.

The Iberian Racing Festival will stand out for its variety and diversity, bringing together competitions that cater to all racing fans. From enthusiasts of iconic classics that have shaped motorsport history to admirers of cutting-edge technology and the intense battles of modern Touring Cars and Grand Touring (GT) machines, each of these events will offer a high-level spectacle. All categories will be represented, including Touring Cars, GTs, and Single-Seaters, ensuring a comprehensive and exciting show.

Among the competitions confirmed for the Iberian Racing Festival programme are several championships and series widely recognised by motorsport fans across the Iberian Peninsula, including Iberian Supercars, the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, Supercars España, Iberian Historic Endurance, Carrera 80, Single Seater Series, Group 1 Portugal, and Caterham Motorsport Iberia. These competitions bring together some of the best drivers and teams from Portugal and Spain, establishing the Iberian Racing Festival as the premier stage for Iberian motorsport.

These events, most of which will be streamed live on social media, will offer far more than just the usual spectacle and excitement of on-track action. The paddock will become the beating heart of the Iberian Racing Festival, providing a vibrant and immersive experience for participants, visitors, and industry professionals alike.

A carefully curated programme of activities will breathe new life into the paddock, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere that extends well beyond the racing itself. Fans will have the opportunity to get up close to the teams and drivers, admire the race cars at close quarters, and gain behind-the-scenes insight into the world of motorsport.

Depending on the event, highlights will include autograph sessions, VIP laps, classic and supercar exhibitions, dedicated entertainment zones with a range of food and drink options, and social areas for fans to gather and connect. This approach is designed to enhance the visitor experience, transforming the paddock into a vibrant and unforgettable meeting place for families, friends, and sponsors.

With this fresh and dynamic concept, the Iberian Racing Festival will be more than just a sporting event—it will be a full-scale celebration of motorsport culture, where the thrill of racing meets top-tier entertainment and social engagement.

The first Algarve Iberian Racing Festival is scheduled from April 4th to 6th at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, offering a weekend packed with adrenaline, speed, and top-level competition.

In addition to the opening event of the Supercars Endurance competitions – Iberian Supercars, the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, and Supercars España – the programme will also include the Group 1 Portugal, and the Single Seater Series, the only single-seater competition in Portugal. Further details about the Portimão event will be revealed soon.

Alongside the three Iberian Racing Festivals, Race Ready will continue to lead the field of motorsport events in southern Europe, organising the Estoril Classics, Jarama Classic, and the unmissable Estoril Endurance Festival as the season finale.

For Diogo Ferrão, CEO of Race Ready: "In recent years, we have evolved in organising championships that have become great spectacles on track. Now that the show is consolidated, it is time to gradually create all the conditions to welcome the public in the best possible way, offering them an experience that will make them want to return."

With the introduction of this new event structure, Race Ready reaffirms its commitment to excellence in the organisation of motorsport competitions, providing incomparable experiences for spectators and raising the standard of competitions on the Iberian Peninsula.
