Past and Present Meet in Estoril

Race Ready's Estoril Exclusive Test brings back historic F1 cars and joins to the programme the modern GT4s and TCRs

Race Ready is organising the sixth edition of the Estoril Exclusive Test on 5 and 6 April at the Autódromo do Estoril, an event now in its sixth year where collectors and teams bring together some of the world's most desirable cars, not in a race, but in a private practice session. Every year, historic Formula 1 cars as well as GT cars and classic sports cars come to Portugal. The second day of the event will also feature the latest generation of GT and Turismos cars from the Iberian Peninsula.

With an exclusive event format, the programme, which starts at 9am and finishes at 6pm, will have a maximum of ten Formula 1 single-seaters from other eras, or Sportscars from the same generation, entered per session, and a maximum of twenty Grand Touring and Touring cars, some of them true gems of the racing car industry. In the past, this event has featured cars as rare as the Lotus 23 ex-Emilio Marta, the Peugeot 908 ex-Pedro Lamy, the Alfa Romeo 156 ex-Gabriele Tarquini, the Ford RS200 ex-Joaquim Moutinho, among many other four-wheeled gems.

This year marks a significant milestone as the Estoril Exclusive Test introduces the latest generation of cars for the first time. On April 6th, the circuit in the municipality of Cascais will not only host the official Test Day for the season of the Iberian Peninsula's premier circuit racing series, the debut of cars poised to shape the future of motorsport. Numerous modern GT and Touring cars, set to grace the starting grids of the Iberian Supercars, the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, and Supercars España, will take to the Estoril racetrack to fine-tune their performance for the upcoming season.

For the past three years, the organizers have made a limited number of tickets available for purchase, granting access solely to the paddock on Saturday, April 6th. This initiative was in response to the numerous requests from fans eager to get an up-close encounter with cars that have defined golden eras in global motorsport and are now poised to script the next chapter in the annals of Iberian motorsport history.

Due to the exclusivity of the event and in order not to make it too difficult for the drivers and teams who will be testing, only 50 tickets will be sold for Saturday, making it possible for a limited number of people to be present with these machines and drivers, and they usually sell out in less than seven days.

Tickets will only be sold online on the Race Ready website until the Thursday before the event, 4 April, if they don't sell out before then.
