Race Ready, Importempo and the prestigious Swiss watchmaker Cuervo y Sobrinos join forces as the Classic Cup returns to the Estoril Circuit for its third edition, as part of the Estoril Summer Party by NAPA programme.

On 18 and 19 July, the Estoril Circuit will host the 3rd edition of the Classic Cup by Cuervo y Sobrinos, an event that is establishing itself as one of the leading national competitions for enthusiasts of classic and historic racing cars. As part of the Estoril Summer Party by NAPA, the race will be the main sporting highlight of a weekend set to bring together drivers, teams and fans in a celebration of motorsport and closer interaction with the public.

The 2026 edition of the Classic Cup also marks the start of a partnership with Cuervo y Sobrinos, a prestigious luxury watch brand internationally recognised for its unique combination of “Latin soul and Swiss heart”, and which many motorsport fans know through its support of the Iberian Historic Endurance Index of Performance. Born in Havana and developed with the excellence of Swiss watchmaking engineering, the brand now joins the Classic Cup, strengthening shared values such as tradition, precision, passion and exclusivity.

True to the concept that defined its first two editions, the Classic Cup by Cuervo y Sobrinos will continue to accept cars homologated or produced between 1960 and 2000, offering a 60-minute race with a distinctive technical format.

The handicap system, specifically developed for this competition, takes into account factors such as the age of the car, engine capacity, type of vehicle and tyres used, allowing performance to be balanced between machines from different generations and with different characteristics. As a result, older models and cars with smaller engines benefit from conditions that promote closer and more unpredictable racing, rewarding strategy, consistency and driving quality.

Drivers who prefer to compete on slick tyres will be able to do so. However, those opting for road-homologated tyres will benefit from a 30-second advantage during pit stops.

An invitation to debut

As in previous years, the race organised by Race Ready is once again encouraging new drivers to enter competitive motorsport through an initiative specially designed for those who have always wanted to experience a sprint race.

Teams featuring a driver who has never previously taken part in a motorsport event will benefit from a 120-second handicap bonus applied during the pit stop.

To ensure a safe and well-prepared introduction, all debutants will also have access to an additional briefing, complementing the mandatory training before taking to the track.

Saturday dedicated to testing

Before Sunday’s race, Saturday will be reserved for private test sessions organised by Race Ready, open not only to participants in the Classic Cup by Cuervo y Sobrinos, but also to all competition car owners wishing to test their vehicles or complete familiarisation mileage.

This will also be an excellent opportunity for drivers without a racing licence to experience the competitive environment and prepare for future participation.

Prizes worthy of the occasion

The partnership with Cuervo y Sobrinos will also be marked by the presentation of an exceptional prize. The winner of the overall classification of the Classic Cup by Cuervo y Sobrinos will receive an exclusive watch from the prestigious Swiss brand, symbolising the union between watchmaking precision and the excellence of motorsport competition.

In addition, all class winners will be recognised on the podium with exclusive gifts provided by the sponsor.
